The owners moved out and left a good house behind. Proper finishes, a pool, the bones of something that didn't need reinventing. The job was to furnish it in a way that made sense of what was already there.
The name set the direction. Natural textures, quiet colors, nothing that asks for attention. A house in Holly with a pool should feel like somewhere you slow down, and every piece was chosen with that in mind rather than to fill a room.
There was a second living space doing nothing, so it became a game room. Deep olive green on every wall, moody rather than bright, with a sleeper sofa that took the house from six guests to eight.
The pool went from a pool to a place to be. Seating, shade, somewhere to put a drink down, the things that turn a body of water into a reason to stay outside.
It took five bookings in the first twenty-four hours it was live.
