Guest Haus Property Management
We started Guest Haus in 2022. Before that we'd both been on the other side of it: owning short-term rentals, self-managing them, running properties for family. You learn different things that way than you do studying the business from outside. What actually goes wrong, how often, and at what hour.
We met over football, which is as good a reason as any to go into business with someone. The idea was to run rentals the way Austin actually is. Welcoming, fun, specific to the place rather than interchangeable with a rental in any other city.
We've added houses, in-field managers, cleaning crews and trades. What we haven't added is a layer between an owner and the people running their property.
Our own people, in the houses every day. Inspections between stays, pre-arrival setup, small repairs, and whatever else the day brings.
The same crews across the portfolio, working from each house's reset document. They know the properties, which is why the standard holds.
Handymen, pool, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest. A network we've built over years, which means same-day availability and a person who's been to the house before.
We operate under two names. Guest Haus Property Management is this site, for owners. Guest Haus Rentals is the brand your house is marketed under, with its own site and its own identity.
